FTS Enhances CENTCOM Network Defense and Operations
FedTechServices, LLC (FTS), February 2010 a Tampa-based defense contractor, announces it has been engaged to assist U.S. CENTCOM (U.S. Central Command) in development of a state-of-the-art solution called Theater Network Management Architecture (TNMA) to provide the military with the fastest, most efficient and most secure telecommunications networks possible.
TNMA provides a suite of software tools that allows CENTCOM to cope with the challenge of a diverse legacy of networks developed independently by each of the four branches of the military and multiple agencies CENTCOM supports in a theater of operations that spans half the globe, including more than 20 countries and two wars.
TNMA was implemented successfully by CENTCOM in less than a year and is available to all of the global commands. Joint Staff has recognized the value of TNMA, designating it "best of breed" architecture. It has reduced overall costs significantly through its capabilities to work with existing equipment, especially “off-the-shelf” components already in place.
